Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)

Our vision as a charity,is to support the poor, sick and needy in service and donations.
As part of our multifaceted programmes to support the underprivileged,ACV seeks to expand the facilities of the
New Mount Carmel Educational Institute,in order to accommodate and also make it possible for more underprivileged
children to have access to quality education. The future of any society depends on its ability to foster the health
and wellbeing of the next generation. This view can be better appreciated if placed within, the context of the axiom that
todays children would become tomorrows responsible citizens. There is therefore a strong basis for society to invest
in its children especially with regard to education.
As part of our effort to combat the spread of the HIV/AIDS pandemic,we organize workshops for volunteers
who want to give public lectures on HIV/AIDS,bodering on the spread of the disease, stigmatisation and discrimination against people infected by the disease.
Currently about 500,000 people are reported to have contracted AIDS in Ghana. There is therefore an urgent need for the public
to be sensitized about the dangers associated with the disease and the rate at wich it is spreading.
We organise workshop in Schools, community centres, churches and work places for volunteers who want to deliver a
sensitization talk on HIV/AIDS.
The youth have a strong sexual urge and that could drive them to engage in irresponsible sexual act, however;with the
intensification of education on the pandemic, stressing on abstinence, the use of condoms and concentration on
productive issues, most people are likely to oblige and behave responsibly.
If you want to support the course of African Calabash Volunteer through donations, kindly send the cash through
western union and non cash materials through our address.
